As you know, Eunice Waller of Waverly House Gallery, has organized a household shower for Deby Gilley. Let’s all turn out for this and show our support! Below is the email that Eunice has sent out, detailing that event. Please read this carefully and direct any questions and your RSVP to Eunice (see contact information below). Hope to see you there!
We will be holding the Household Shower for Deby Gilley on Thursday evening, July 21st at 5:30 p.m.
I have included Deby’s list of needs. Please email me if you want to select something from this list so that we don’t have duplicates.
This is a Household Shower to help Deby recover from the terrible fire. Please remember new items – this is not a time to get rid of your old items. We want to help Deby recover from this devastating experience in the best possible way.
Also Deby will be living in limited quarters for a time so she will be needing a lot more a bit later. For this reason, I would also recommend gift cards to Walmart, Target or any other store with a wide selection of household items.
T-towels and dish cloths
Small and med skillets
Salt & pepper shakers
Variation of sauce pans
Spatula & mixing spoons
Full-size sheet set
Deby is very appreciative of her friends and fellow artists having this event. I hope most of you will be able to attend and support Deby. If you are unable to attend and want to drop off a gift for Deby before the shower that will be fine. Several have already dropped off monetary contributions.
Please spread the word. Anyone who wants to attend and help Deby is welcome. Please email me if you are planning to attend.
Thank you for taking part in this effort to help Deby. We also appreciate so many of you wanting to help.

As many of you know by now, our Vice President, Deby Gilley lost her house to fire on Thursday evening. It’s been brought to my attention that Eunice Waller, of Waverly House is planning a “household shower” for Deby, though a time has not yet been determined. It has also been suggested by an Alliance member that at some point, Deby and her husband might need some help cleaning up the debris, but again, this has not been discussed with Deby. Perhaps some of you have some ideas too. I feel certain that even Deby doesn’t know the extent of her needs yet, so it might be best to wait and just funnel goods, services and cash through Eunice for the time being.
I really don’t have any other information to share but will keep you updated as I learn more. I’m sure Deby will appreciate any help, including your prayers.
